What is dworm?
Deworming redefined
Even today, most horses are dewormed 3 to 4 times a year. Even though many horses do not need deworming at all!
This has several drawbacks:
- Build-up of resistance is encouraged
- The horse is unnecessarily exposed to medicaments
- You spend money on worming pastes that you could use better elsewhere.
According to a current recommendation of the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine in Bern and Zurich horses from the age of 4 should be examined for worms prior to any deworming.
This is particularly simple with the new diagnostic service from dworm.
